A pump is an electronic device that helps to deliver feed to tube fed patients, over the recommended period of time and at the recommended rate. It is easy to use and is suitable for either home or hospital environments.
Not everybody with a feeding tube needs to be fed using a pump. Gravity can allow your feed to pass down your feeding tube through a giving set or using a syringe.
Your Healthcare Professional will advise you if you need a feeding pump.
