Practical Paediatrics

Practical Paediatrics is an innovative series of webinars designed to facilitate learning in a way that is accessible, convenient, practical and free.

Focusing on topics that are relevant to your everyday practice, and requested through direct feedback following the June webinars on Paediatric Weight Management, registration is now open for an exciting new module.

This new module is designed to specifically explore Cognitive Behaviour Therapy from a paediatric perspective. It recognises that most Irish dietitians are trained in the use of CBT with adult patients, but can find it challenging when working with younger patients and their families.  Both instructors work extensively with Dympna Pearson to deliver training on CBT in Ireland and the UK

It is suitable for all specialist dietitians currently working in paediatrics, who want to build on previous training or practice. It will also be of interest to those currently working in the community or a more general role, who want to learn from the current practice of experts and fellow dietitians.

How to Participate: Full details about participating in webinars are detailed in the Webinar User Guide (see right). We encourage you to register early to ensure access to the system from your preferred location: a short pre-test can be arranged for you on request (contact garrett.irish@abbott.com in Abbott Nutrition to set this up if necessary).

If you are unable to attend the live webinar, all registered participants will receive a link to the recording, available online for a limited time afterwards. All registered attendees and viewers will receive a Certificate of Attendance, together with the CPD evaluation and reflection forms (available to download here when the webinar takes place).
