Vanilla Scones

Ingredients:

220ml Ensure® Plus Advance vanilla

450g Self-rasing Flour

50g White sugar

Pinch of salt

185g Margarine

50ml Milk

Method:

1. Preheat the oven to 180oC /350oF / Gas Mark 4

2. In a large mixing bowl, sieve together the flour, sugar and salt

3. With a knife, cut the margarine into small chunks and add to the flour mixture

4. Work the flour mixture with your fingertips until a breadcrumb texture is formed

5. Add Ensure® Plus Advance vanilla and milk, small amounts at a time, until a firm dough is formed

6. Roll out onto a floured surface and cut the dough into round circles, approximately 1 inch thick

7. Bake in the oven for 10-15 minutes

8. Serve either warm or cold

Serving suggestions:

Top with butter, jam and cream
