Vanilla Scones

Ingredients:
- 1 pack of Glucerna® SR vanilla (230ml)
- Wholemeal self raising flour (450g)
- White sugar (50g)
- Pinch of salt
- Margarine (185g)
- Whole milk (50ml)
Method:
- Preheat the oven to 180°C / 350°F / Gas Mark 4
- In a large mixing bowl, sieve together the flour, sugar and salt
- With a knife, cut the margarine into small chunks and add to the flour mixture
- Work the flour mixture with your fingertips until a breadcrumb texture is formed
- Add the Glucerna® SR and milk, small amounts at a time, until a firm dough is formed
- Roll out onto a floured surface and cut the dough into round circles, approximately 1 inch thick
- Bake in the oven for 10-15 minutes
- Serve either warm or cold
Serving suggestions:
- Top with butter, jam and cream
